Yazan Abu Ghazal is a psychiatrist, subspecializing in geriatric psychiatric at the Psychiatric University Hospital in Zurich. After graduating from medical school in Beirut he studied philosophy and history of science at the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris) and Harvard University.

Main interests:

-The metamorphosis of psychiatric terminology at the turn of the twentieth century and the resulting problems in the conceptualization of mental disorders.

-Speech disorders in schizophrenia.
