Having studied Classical Philology and German Linguistics, my main interest lies in the terminological analysis of medical documentation in interprofessional research projects, especially in the fields of trauma surgery, emergency care, and forensic medicine. As a terminologist, I am devoted to establishing standards, which allow for accurate and unambiguous clinical documentation supporting forensic assessment. Another main area of my empirical research activities comprises patient-centered communication in cooperation with medical doctors, psychologists and communication experts. My special interest is medical translation as well as the patient-centered way of terminological code-switching when disclosing diagnoses and explaining procedures to patients.
