As a linguist, I have worked for the last few years at the interface of communication, multilingualism, and healthcare at the University of Heidelberg and Copenhagen. My doctoral dissertation examined the use of code-switching in bilingual interactions between family doctors and patients. Therefore, I am particularly interested in the power of communication in healthcare and the therapeutic impact of using the right words in the right language.

Looking to the future, I believe that the increasing importance of human-machine interaction will have a profound impact on healthcare. As such, I would like to explore language-related technological solutions to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction, while also enabling remote medical care. I am excited about the potential of these technologies to transform healthcare delivery, making it more accessible and patient-centered.
