Marianne Hundt is professor of English linguistics at the English department. Her research interest is in the area of world Englishes and language change with a focus on psycholinguistic modelling of variation and change, particularly the question of the relationship between NLP language models and their relevance for psychologically 'real' modelling in linguistic theory. Her recent research interest includes interdisciplinary research (with colleagues in typology, computational linguistics and neurolinguistics) into parts-of-speech. She is also the director of the single-honour MA programme in linguistics.
