Language features associated with psychiatric symptoms are my research focus, particularly intrusive memories. These memories, involve mental imagery-based impressions that intrude into mind involuntarily and are common in psychiatric disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorders.
I am investigating the underlying memory mechanisms involved in the formation of intrusive memories as part of the Clinical Research Priority Program - Synapse, Trauma and Addiction. I am a PhD student in Birgit Kleim's Laboratory of Experimental Psychopathology and Psychotherapy at the Psychological Institute of the University of Zurich.
